As a way to expand the exposure and popularity of emerging filmmakers, Dolby Vision has collaborated with Ghetto Film School and Dolby Vision to bring to life a new series of short films. Part of the Finish the Script Challenge, four teams were given the challenge of using the opening sequence by Oscar-nominated and 15-time staff chosen filmmaker Carlos Lopez Estrada as a basis for their own original films.

The teams shot their films with $25,000 grants, and finished production by gaining access to color-grading in Dolby Vision(r) and mixing of audio using Dolby Atmos(r). Dolby plans to launch a new edition of its Finish the Script challenge, keep an eye out for additional details.

 "Take Care Zora"

"Take Care Zora" is a look at the struggles and joys of raising someone with Down syndrome. It also weaves the story of a caregiver sibling's development into an adult narrative.

 "Hunted"

"Hunted" is the story of two gay people of color being thrown into a frightful world. The film explores the horror genre, tackling the tough emotions of fear and jealousy.

 "Shipped Out"

"Shipped Out" is an animated film that is set in a futuristic future. It touches on the power of immigration, the abuses of power and the importance of family.
