The Year of Social Learning -

Dec 9, 2022

It's the time to intensify our efforts in social learning.

For too long we have seen elearning courses that end up with "click-click-click-click" progression. No interaction, no engagement. It is time for learning programmers to work towards more.

There are some courses that, like compliance training, but they don't need the use of e-learning courses that is more traditional. Its content is simple and rarely changes and can be (to admit it) boring.

But, there are many other programs available which would be more effective if they leveraged the concept that social learning is a form of education.

The goal is to create community over the course of classes. The courses should be a part of the community.

There is a way to breathe new life in your class by creating your own communities. It's true that it's an additional task than creating a static course However, the results are far greater.

If you have raving fans then you'll get more clients simply and easily.

Additionally, you'll receive suggestions on what you could improve on or create new products people are looking for that you can offer. The community you join is similar to having your own R&D department!

What are the best ways to begin exploring the idea of social learning? It's easy. Start with the basics and go on to:

  • Create forums
  • Develop robust profiles for users (similar to Facebook)
  • Start a Facebook Group
  • Create webinars
  • Create contests for and among students

These aren't the only fundamental strategies.
