I'm a devoted lover of Mr. Rogers and have always wanted to be in some way to help people. It led me into 20 years of support for customers and I have the ability to guide, troubleshoot, and cheer our customers on!

Thanks to a friend's nudge that I discovered the place  the place, and six years later I have never thought about it. When I'm not helping customers or serving food, I'm seeking out an amazing new treasure or planning my next family adventure--with a coffee in one hand with a bite to eat on the other.

What does your day-to-day job there at Ensuring

Every day is a new, exciting adventure! I am able to assist clients from around the globe, and assist them with the issues they face. If it's educating them on the benefits of our membership or unravelling the complexities of a problem I'm happy to be here and make things easier for them.

With AI increasing its use as a communications tool, I am focusing on keeping our support human--building real connections, actively pursuing their needs, and ensuring that everyone is understood, supported and able to achieve.

Do you remember one of your favourite interactions with our (potential) customers - the question/problem they had and how you dealt with it

The customer was looking to offer an offer to its members isn't available out of the box. Instead of telling them "no," (we do our best not to) I found a creative solution by using our API.

The customized solution was able to meet their needs and worked perfectly! We were all thrilled with this result. It turned the challenge into an opportunity.

Your opinion on what makes a great membership business?

It is my belief that keeping members interested is essential to developing a profitable subscription-based business. When creators genuinely engage with their subscribers and their members, it's not the mere transaction of money. It's about creating an environment where the members feel a sense of belonging to an organization.

What have you learnt in your studies ?

It has been my experience that effective communication is essential to customer service, no matter if it's in person or via the internet. Although online support might be easier to access, using the wrong tone, or employing unclear wording can quickly cause customer frustration.

It's the reason the PREACH communication model (Proud responsible, Responsible and Empathetic, as well as Articulate, Clear, Human) is essential when helping every client.

It is truly a pleasure to work with my support team, as everyone embodies these qualities in their customer interactions. What is my most valuable lesson? Communication is a skill which you develop with time and the willingness to learn from the mistakes you make.

Three tips do you have to give to someone in your field or department?

Here are three tips for satisfaction with customer support:

  1. Ask questions, then ask additional questions, in order to comprehend the needs of your client and to get at the heart of their problem.
  2. Keep in touch in case you don't get a response. Customers appreciate your effort to follow through as everyone's busy.
  3. Make sure you keep your promises. Remaining true to the your promises to customers increases trust and provides the long-term satisfaction of your customers. If you said that you'd send them an email at a specific time, don't forget!
