The birthplace of the author was in Belgium Her home was Belgium. She graduated with an MBA following which she became a specialist in the management of human resources and psychosystemic psychology. After that, she was employed as a corporate coach. "The working environment in the corporate world was never like the one I was used to." She explains. "I decided to leave all of my obligations and relocate to Paris to begin anew. ."
One of the main reasons for her fresh start was the desire to test her skills with acting. She was awed by. She was committed, determined and put all her efforts and energy to gaining skills to be the most effective actress she could be.
In spite of her dedication to her work, her mom claims she was an average actor, but not an remarkable actress. Like many actors, she was plagued by stage fright. "Most of my actors had similar problems," she says. "We were so passionate, but when it came time to play the role in the role and we had no idea what to expect, we were scared. ."
The actress wanted to find out what factors kept her from becoming a great actor. actors from achieving their potential as actors. "My obsession has evolved into something of an obsession" she said. "I am interested in understanding how actors who are passionate and committed are not as active when they play ."
Over the course of few years, she investigated the reason actors are trapped. Through her study she came to the conclusion that when kids play, they're at liberty. In the case of adults who play, it's like they're losing their independence due to the social norms. "When I realised this, I spent the rest of my time with actors helping them get over their negative perceptions about their own self-worth so that they can perform and express themselves as they once were," explains Jo.
She started as a coach
Jo's experiences-based research led her to study different methods to heal the body. She later experimented with others in private sessions and group coaching sessions in the beginning of 2000. After some time the business was named To Be Or Not To Act.
She soon realized the students she taught were not committed. "No matter how dedicated the students I taught, they couldn't manage to maintain their dedication to attend all the day. Though we met at least three times per week, there was never any obligation to take breaks. There was a risk for someone to drop the ball easily even if they were not with me." Jo explains. Jo.
It was hoped that online courses could help students stay consistent with their practices. The instructor describes the online classes as "journeys," and the first journey she leads participants through will be The Reset: From Resistance to Freedom. It was developed by her in 2014. "I decided to create The Reset so that I would be able to join hands with others during The 33 days of The Reset," she says in her explanation.
"Since the website is available the users are able to access the site at their convenience and choose their own schedule."
Jo believes that human beings have a naturally innate instinct. However, societal habitual behavior of our culture forces us to act as we think, feel, and act the way we think, feel and act. According Jo, Jo The goal for The Reset is to encourage people to take part in exercises every day that help them shed the habitual and return to their natural instincts. Every day, throughout The Reset, Jo offers video tutorials of exercises. In addition, she offers two Q&As, as well as two hours of working in groups through pods, and another semi-Q&A which Jo addresses the most frequently asked questions in a private group on Facebook.
Having the flexibility of an online adventure lets Jo's guests participate in activities anytime whenever they want, no matter if they get up prior to when they fall asleep, or at any other time. "The greatest thing about them is that you can tailor the activities to fit into your schedule," she explains.
Her online business was founded with the ability to lead an ideal lifestyle
When Jo first began her website Reset journey it was possible to keep a record of every session published on her site. Then, a couple of years later she changed her site's name to Reset following she was urged to join by her coach. "You guys know how to do it, I'm not sure" she says with a smile.
After moving to the online coaching arena, Jo's routine has changed. In the course of our interview Jo phoned us from the hospital hospital, where she was able to spend moment with her young daughter. "Eight years ago, my daughter was diagnosed with genetic specification that requires treatment at the hospital every month," she explains.
" It lets me be a mom and manage my personal family while maintaining my company online that's running even when I'm in the hospital as my daughter receives her monthly transfusions," she says. "Working online enables me to look after my daughter in the manner that I would like as well as be in my home 24 hours a day in order to look after her. I am able to travel when hospital demands, but being in an occupation I'm passionate about, and not be stress-inducing ."
The subsequent trips were her own inventions.
After completing The Reset, they have the option of joining A three-month training program called the Aimful Actor. It is a 3 hour class over 12 weeks. "The participants of this program are more independent in regards to their accountability as well as being their own needs. There are still some things that they have to do every day but they can't count on me to accomplish it. They have to think of their own motivation, which is the reason they're here." Jo says.
Jo will also be hosting questions and answers about the process of becoming a Purposeful actor. The sessions are scheduled to take place each day for three weeks. Once you have finished this Purposeful Journey you could decide to sign up for an entire year-long membership, known as BAMF Actors In Action, which stands for Bad-Ass Mother of"F***king" Actors In Action. "I designed this membership to help people who had finished the two journeys wanted to practice on this path," she says.
The program has been in operation for four years. It offers a content-based session a month, group sessions that include weekly pods, each month a Q&A featuring Jo who hosts the session, and the opportunity to attend the six-hour conference every three months. "The membership helps members figure out the most effective way to step to the forefront to be the person they were supposed to be. They also become connected with experts in the field and create content that they'd like to create, and increase the bar on their writing," she explains.
She has collaborated with musicians across all genres of music.
According to Jo she believes most of clients she sees on her journeys include actors. However, there are different categories of artists such as writers, dancers and musicians and even regular citizens who "want to be able to freely move their body" including mothers and professional artists like professional athletes, therapy therapists, TV hosts. "Freedom is the issue of anyone who wants to express themselves," she says.
The tours are run in English as well as with English the tour draws visitors from around the globe. "We have visitors from every continent, but mostly America, Europe, and Australia," she shares.
Most of her followers are within the 20-50 and 50-year old age bracket. A few of her listeners are who are entering the third decade of their lives And it's normal for her to welcoming those aged 70 and 80 to be part of her journeys.
Her clients did all the talking
Advertising her adventures, Jo says the word is spread mostly through words that are spoken by.
The homepage of her website, she's included an animated testimonial reel. This provides proof of the social standing of the website and adds credence to the efforts of her. Visitors to her website can subscribe to the weekly newsletter that she publishes via her site. In order to gather email addresses, she provides two seminars for free that help draw leads, such as Try not to attempt to become a great Actor for the sake of giving yourself a chance to be Excellent, and the Instinctive Actor. The workshops aren't just designed to help to capture the details of her audience but also give them a peek of her coaching style.
Also, she posts to her Instagram page, which has more than 10,500 followers. It also receives stories via interviews and news for various podcasts, blogs, and magazines.
The client selected a price which was reasonable.
Jo strives to make her travels available to everyone, especially since actors earn a fluctuating salary. "If you attended an acting school once each week, it could be between $300 and $400. The majority of times, you'll sit down and observe other students performing the scene, and then at times you'll get an opportunity to perform," she adds.
"These internet-based travel services offer a lower cost alternative," continues Jo. "The value of our journeys is 10 times what we market our journeys at." ."
The Reset is priced below $1000 USD. The cost for the Purposeful Actor includes $1250 USD. Membership costs $270 USD a month.
She was at the peak of the most brilliant genius
Even though she is the chief executive officer of the business To Be Or Not To Act, Jo is steadfast in her determination to devote her energy to her particular area of excellence that is coaching and making the videos. Jo doesn't have an academic background in technology and likes to be "in and not in the loop" performing her best work. "The rest of the work required to run an enterprise, I'm not interested in as it isn't my realm of genius," she says.
Jo says she owes her success in beginning with a coach who she employed early. At the end of the day, when it came time to develop long-term experiences, Jo took the right decision by purchasing a program that cost $20k, to learn how to execute the program. "It was a bit of a challenge which meant I had to get an amount equal to half of the cost. It's good that I was able to achieve it,"" she says.
She believes that anyone is able to create an online business which is profitable. However, she advises that it's not easy.
"It takes dedication and persistence It's also important to have a passion for what you're doing to achieve. For me, it's all I've ever been doing since I switched careers as I entered my 20s and that's what I'll do for the rest of my life. My passion of what I do is what makes it so that, when it gets difficult I will stick to it ."
She created from the heart
It is suggested that entrepreneurs who are online be transparent about the hard task they'll need to do in creating an online business. She suggests that they accept the responsibility when the topic they're teaching they're passionate about.
"The difficulty is when you sign up on social networks, everyone believes that you can earn millions in a matter of hours. However, that's not the case," says Jo. "It is the reality that you'll earn income if you have something that you're passionate about and you want to share it with the world's biggest audience, rather than that of your neighbors. It's not easy, however. It's a matter of falling down and getting up. It involves training and investing both time and money until you have a base is set ."
Much like Jo If you build an organisation from within It gives you the courage to keep going despite the tough situations.
"An online business shouldn't be just a job opportunity for making money. It must be born from the heart of you, in your mission. If you do not follow this, you'll lose the ball as it's going be too heavy." The coach clarifies.
"If you're making this decision for legitimate reasons, you'll be able to face the obstacles. If you're in the search for a quick money grab and you're not able to take on these challenges. We recommend that you concentrate on things that are dear to you. It's crucial to be successful at your job because you're faced with an overwhelming number of competitors. You must remain at ease with what you're doing. ."
Her integrity was safeguarded by her art
When asked what we will be seeing in 2024 Jo thinks there is going plenty of online programs. Jo says the primary differentiator between the "McDonald's" programs and the "gourmet" programmes are the classes that are developed by an expert with respect for the integrity of.
"When you have an overabundance of something, it can produce two different types of work online. There'll be McDonald's style courses and then there will be delicious and efficient classes. There will be goals that are completely different to your current life However it won't be from an authoritative source. There will also be those who have been going at it for quite a long time," she says.
In order to create an authentic gourmet experience of course she suggests returning to the basics.
"There is an incredible opportunity for anyone who has a strong foundation and a heartfelt need to serve others," she continues. "The ones who need what you have to offer are likely to be those you ."
"I'm thankful for this chance and the ability to be human and connect in the things that matter to us. It's incredible."
