The film opens with a lovely pet who has been found and placed in the laundry excited to meet their new family members. However, shortly prior to the arrival of new family members, the dog appears to be making a bizarre appearance. The vacuum cleaner begins to move around the property as the pets of previous owners who've changed into ghosts walk through walls. Cappa is a masterful comic writer, subverting the terror of human beings by demonstrating that in the eyes of pets ghosts are not scary, but rather intriguing, as they transform into the main antagonist.. This variety of tones and settings are wonderfully captured in the grungy, heavily colored and outlined style that is reminiscent of television's Liquid Television and early RAW comic collection.
It's been a lengthy wait. Cappa thought he was done his job as a part-time employee with others. He determined to pursue his own project and took the time to make his first movie. "I draw these dogs that move with hands and knees for a prolonged amount of time. They looked odd and made my coworkers to laugh. I wanted to design something that would be the source of inspiration during my early days when I first saw the camera that my parents owned. From this, I'm sure that all of inspiration for the project were derived from. The idea could have been inspired by the premise of every horror film where the dog barks at things that are invisible to everyone within the family. This was a fascinating tale in which dogs were able to sense the spirits of family members who've passed away . "
The temperament of the dog
"I love films and art that blur the lines between terror and comedy. It seems like a large part of my work is there , too. It's an amazing feeling to provoke in people where they're not sure of which best way to proceed, whether they're fearful or just taking it easy. The owners of dogs trigger this kind of response. There's something strange about dogs with arms and legs that look like human beings. Are they human-like but are they more like humans? What kind of behavior would they exhibit? "
This style can be described as visually:
"That was made in the first days of Liquid Television. The director JW Hallford and myself decided on the look of the movie, which we believed to be more dated. Like it was an unimportant film that is now seeing the return of. We gave the film motion-shaking effects but I wasn't looking for hair particles or other particles. The animation style is what is what speaks. Additionally, I would like to express my appreciation to the person who designed these backgrounds. "The first version of the movie I composed was about three dogs who were trapped in their home. My intention was to draw the storyboards of each scene while I wrote them and later come up with interesting gags and various suggestions. My brother suggested we fight Roomba. My story is written with just one dog's protagonist and robot vacuums. This proved to be the ideal dog to play with and an amazing plot device that can be employed to make lots of fun and confusion . "
On challenges faced:
"I told you that this was my first animated film, so it was a first training curve that started from the very beginning. Each mistake was the result of an oversight. What I believed would be accomplished in six months, ended up taking nearly two years. One of the most difficult challenges I'm trying to tackle is animating the psychotic scenes. The speed of animation is improved between 12fps to 24fps. That's the reason this was an extremely laborious sequence. Repetition of the procedure of making the same frame over and over created a great deal of harm in my arms! I suffered a sprain to my shoulder that was rigid and unable to move my body to the belly button on my body for 2 months. The pain was so intense that it created pain. So, I had to be off for six months as my body started to heal. It was a huge disappointment . "
What is your top suggestion for young filmmakers?
"If you're planning on developing your own product (like creating it by yourself) instead of making it available to any other person) It can be challenging to develop the desire to go after it in the face of the risk of financial ruin. It's been a constant concern for me all through my existence. In the end I could find no benefit in what I had done in order to help others. I had no endgame. But I couldn't discover a reason to make my own trash.
