Passive is Passe: Making Online courses requires active involvement.

Sep 3, 2024

For most service-based businesses that generate income through leveraged and passive products are a gorgeous idea, but there's a myriad of mental and emotional problems that could arise from entering this field. There's a false belief that it's the only type of income. Sure, you get to make money in your sleep and you get to go for a stroll on the beach. You're right, but there's no need to market it to me.

But what if you ACTUALLY care about the people who purchase your program? If, for instance, you didn't WANT to go off to the beach, however, you'd rather to stick around, hold hands, ask concerns, and really support your clients through the program?

Is that a sign of a bad businessperson?

Does that mean that you're simplyleveraging but making no passive income, and therefore you've FAILED?

NOT AT ALL.

We're here to inform you that Leveraged is now the latest black.

In addition that, passive income has been a major source of income in 2014.

Successful online course creators stay connected to their customers

Gorgeous, heart-centered entrepreneurs are putting together BRILLIANT leveraged programmes, while remaining connected to their community And people love their work for it.

In an age where prospective clients have ALREADY registered for dozens of online programs, never to complete the program, a new self-study course will be merely just white noise.

In this day and age, people have a pity on being pushed through automated funnels, lead generators, and in essence, forced to go through hoops in order to find out how much cash you'd like, and how to pay this to you, online buyers are pushing against. They are refusing. Delaying the decision until they have the opportunity to collaborate on a one-on-one basis or participate in the high-touch group programs which requires a lot of face time.

For connected course creators, this is GREAT news.

Myself, I don't even believe it's part of my genetics to earn a an income that is truly passive. The first real product that was passive in income was a calendar for yearly entrepreneurs and was just $19.98. The first time I launched it, I sold 170 copies which were absolutely gorgeous. Then, I began emailing and messaging the buyers to check if they were filling it in and to see whether they were satisfied with it and to offer ideas on how I could maintain it all through the year.

It is not a passive income product. Actually, I spent over 10 hours CHASING those who purchased it, to learn what they thought and aid them with their use!

Fast forward one year and I launched my Heart and Soul planner again in late the year of 2015. It was this time with two workshops for groups one in which I led everyone through the planner page by page, answering questions and giving suggestions, and a second workshop in which I assisted people to develop their own implementation strategy to make sure the planner did not become just another dust collector.

Through transforming my non-profit product into one that could be leveraged, I discovered several benefits for seller and buyer alike:

  1. I was more connected with the customers who bought I was able to assure that the customers were receiving excellent value. This was wonderful for me, and good for them.
  2. I made a TRIBE, it was a live call together, and members were communicating with each other, cheering each other for each other and offering ideas and suggestions. There was no divide and conquer - instead, the goal was to unify and connect.
  3. People could easily know me, and consequently, my KLT (know, like, trust) score skyrocketed.
  4. Conversion to better product was awe-inspiring - from the women that purchased this time, around, three of them are now VIP clients, 14 joined one of my programs and 20 people have enrolled in my business academy, within just six months. The conversion will continue to happen throughout the year I believe.

So the next time you're contemplating and planning the next course, program or product, think about giving thought to making something more connected, and not as passive. You might need be more consistent in your be more consistent in your efforts.

You never know that you may find that you like the idea.
