"Vancouver is enveloped by breathtaking landscapes. So every single day, I tried to escape in the mountains" Frauke says. The ability to transport viewers into the natural world

Though not everyone can take long trips into mountain ranges, Frauke's intention is to offer viewers the best thing. "I attempt to draw viewers into my images, so that they get the feeling that they're right there in the exact instant," she says.

Frauke also believes to bring viewers along on her travels and showing them the beauty and rawness of the wild world, her images are more likely to have an lasting impact. "If you see 10 people looking at my work and think, 'Hey, I want to reconnect to nature and preserve this planet more urgently and in the future, then it's an achievement," Frauke says. "It is the best thing to align with where my heart truly is."
