In the month of January, Nia Pettitt has officially launched The Curl Bar which is a place that caters to curly hair located in London. Nia's idea for the salon was not just about creating a beautiful experience for customers and beautiful, but also giving an opportunity for everyone to feel appreciated and valued.

The brick-and-mortar company's journey to success

A hair salon that has curly locks has been a dream for Nia's. "I used to travel across America to have my hair done, as it was hard to locate a salon located in London or within London or even within the UK," she says. "I set out to design something that would be safe as well as relaxing, which also reflected visually what I would've like when I was a young girl." "Your life changes when you decide to start your own business. Check if you're willing to undergo the necessary adjustments," Nia advises aspiring business leaders. It was difficult to know what kind of change was coming to Nia as well as Curl Bar. Curl Bar. Just a few months after the bar's opening, the bar had to be shut down for a short time due to COVID-19 closures within the UK. But even a brief stop in operation didn't hinder Nia down.

"I did not have a plan to grow the company, and certainly not during the time of an pandemic," she says. "I will take every day as a lesson to be learned from." Since The Curl Bar was closed, Nia shifted her focus on social mediaand communicating with her stylists and her customers digitally until The salon was permitted to open again.
