Creating Cozy & Collaborative Virtual Communities

Cicely Blain Anti-Racism specialist, is the founder and CEO of Bakau Consulting. Bakau Consulting

The session's description is that, while remote work was common prior to COVID-19 the pandemic increased the need for organizations to shift into remote sites. The following years saw businesses that wanted to maintain a close relationship with their clients established groups in which customers who share the same interests were able to help to each other. It's not easy to create a community online the same intimate and personal as an actual one.

In this presentation, Cicely Blain shares their experiences of creating their own online community called Living Room. They discussed how they created an attractive and comfortable online environment that is inclusive and secure communities using technology to meet demands of the people.

The most important takeaways are:

HTML0 Find the names of your clients and find out what they're searching for.

Prior to launching Living Room, Cicely had identify the audience they wanted to design a digital user experience for. Since their mission is founded in the fight against oppression, anti-racism and the struggle against discrimination Cicely realized that their audience was likely to focus on people like DEI experts Consultants, HR experts and others that are also doing similar job.

In addition, Cicely had to figure out exactly what they wanted.

"I considered"What are these group of people looking for, particularly at this point in time of transition, when a lot of aspects change and are characterized by various terminology?

There is a need for an an atmosphere of belonging connection as well as belonging and connection at times they feel isolated. The people are also searching for information and want to know more."

Your website must be an easy-to-use website.

The best way for people to sign up to your online community is to offer them an opportunity to make connections with. For Cicely the element that could be a connection was their home. They wanted to recreate the warm, comfortable sensation of the house they lived in provided the residents.

"I thought, "What is it that I'd like people to experience as they enter the space? It was then that I thought "Well I'd love people to experience exactly how they feel when they walk into a room that's cozy and warm and friendly. I wanted them to feel relaxed, calm as well as calm, at ease and loved."

Cicely is a shining ray of this power all over the globe via:

  • Every meeting starts with a 10-minute contemplation. Facilitators can ask simple questions via screens to encourage participants to engage in some internal reflection.
  • Smooth, soft playlists that are influenced by R&B so that listeners can feel comfortable and relax with the chatter.
  • All phone conversations should be treated as unintentional conversations between the most intimate of people. As you record videos to their online classes, Cicely might be doing her makeup or preparing an Iced tea in the kitchen.

provide a variety of choices for users of the community to obtain the data they need

Although people that participate in an online community are likely to share the same desires, they may differ on their requirements, in terms of the strengths and weaknesses. If it's your own business, you'll have to discover different ways to be capable of meeting the demands from your members regardless of their different requirements.

Through the Living Room, Cicely met the needs of its members by the provision of

  • Engaging in different manners (e.g. Chat forums, online conversations or a online course that contains a wealth of details and other information. );
  • Establish fundamental values and guidelines for the whole community.
  • allowing people to dress with authentic clothing;
  • The removal of stressors that are unnecessary, for example the agenda and time limits for meetings;
  • Be aware of accessibility rules (e.g. disability and neurodivergence) and other.

The Funnel's Funds: How to increase the revenue of the Funnel which is targeted towards customers.

Ellie Diop, Content and Finance Coach for Ellievated Academy

Description of the session. If you want your business to be successful you must have customers that are ready to purchase your product or benefit from the advantages of your product. Many companies make the error of making content they believe their ideal customers might like but not exactly what they actually want. In this talk, Ellie explains how you will boost your sales and increase the sales of your company by establishing the perfect funnel that pulls in the perfect clients and responds to their desires and demands.

The most important takeaways from this can be summarized as follows:

HTML1 Every bit of content is able for use.

A funnel that is targeted towards the customer can be described as establishing connections between your customers. One of the best ways for this to be done is to provide relevant information for them and relevant, as well as beneficial to them. A funnel aimed on the customer has five stages:

  • Awareness
  • Discovery
  • Consideration
  • Conversion
  • Retention, relationship and REPEAT

Regarding the importance of producing content, Ellie states, "Every article you write will be a part of your sales team. Therefore, the material you posted in the last three months is trying to help people go down this road... You must be on time and that the design helps clients to grasp in order to aid them in the process."

The brand you want to define

If you don't know who your goods and services will target it is very unlikely that anyone is able to purchase from the business or hire it. In designing an online funnel it is essential to establish your primary goal and purpose of your business by starting by identifying your target customers. Consider:

  • Who do I serve?
  • What should I do in order to help my friend who has a problem?
  • What is it that I have to do?

These are the fundamental issues that must be addressed in any business selection. Ellie provides a model you can use to help Your audience meet objectives regarding your product or service. The following questions are a good beginning point to consider [YOUR PRODUCT/Service[YOUR PRODUCT/Service].

In her personal experience of the development of her business Ellie says, "For me, it may be that I aid women start profitable companies by assisting them in developing strategies and financial planning. '... In the past, I kept this information in an old piece paper which I kept on the side. As I thought about making a film I remembered who I'd been talking to. "

Make your own online social media network

Social media is among the most effective ways to establish a reputation in your business and increase the sales you need for your business. The results are so good that the majority of customers visit your company's Instagram profile (or any of your social media accounts) prior to visiting your website.

It's crucial to invest the time (and possibly even funds) in the material that you publish on social networks for it to be more visible. The most effective way to achieve it is

  • Making engaging, informative and easily shareable video content (especially video)
  • The payment for advertising
  • Collaboration with influencers that are similar to your audience.

Use lead magnets to increase your email mailing list

If you're creating videos, it is important to include the vast majority of people who don't have a presence on social media to your list of subscribers. When you sign-up people to your list, you will be able to communicate directly with them. This is more effective than when they stumble across your videos or posts while surfing Instagram or X (formerly Twitter). Lead magnets could prove useful.

With lead magnets you're giving worth for the sake of obtaining information about the persons you're in contact with (usually the email address as well as). address). In addition, you may request more details. At the time she started her business, Ellie offered free workshops with clients one-on-one to get testimonials. Ellie made use of these reviews to build her first customers that had made a payment.

"You've to consider"What's an element which could I provide free value to those who will be able to inspire them? Consider this as your main reason to draw buyers. (In my own company) I've unveiled a completely new approach in marketing, where instead of directing you directly towards a particular product, we rather invite customers to sign up to receive a free offer including the free masterclass. This offer then gets sold in the backend. Our results have been fantastic."

conserving customers who are already there is less difficult than acquiring new ones

Each new lead you receive each lead you get should follow the method that guides them through the sales funnel. This is a bit more complicated than persuading an existing client to come back. So, your focus should be on keeping of your clients on the same page perhaps less rather than gaining new clients.

To keep your customers in their minds, here are a few suggestions to remember:

  • Give your customers top customer service
  • Customers are surveyed and surveys are used to obtain information and provide feedback
  • Get testimonials from happy customers (offer incentives if it's possible)
  • Make a new offer in order to make up for the gap in market

When she came up with this offer Ellie states, "I am the first customer to receive credit for business courses for only $15. Then, I started hearing feedback from my customers regarding the kind of products they'll require in the near future. This led me to design Business Credit, which is Business Credit revamped. Then, I designed a an whole Business Credit masterclass, and later, the complete package. The results showed that the majority of the people who purchased the bundle bought the next one to ensure they had everything they were missing. After that, they bought the 3rd one as they had been getting better at their jobs and wanted more."

The growth of both B2C as well as B2B companies to create a variety of revenue streams

Jessica Chen, the global Chief Executive Officer and Communication Expert in Soulcast Media

The description of the event is Business, generally speaking and is founded on three main factors that impact their revenues and sales: their products/services along with the information they utilize to present their services and services, along with the platforms used to share their information. In this session, Jessica discusses the power of LinkedIn in helping businesses communicate to their customers (B2C) as well as to businesses different from them (B2B) and how you can create content that is relevant to both types of audiences and how you can improve the variety of services you offer for the two groups.

LinkedIn is a great way to market your brand's content through LinkedIn as well as increase your profile on LinkedIn.

While many entrepreneurs and professionals use LinkedIn however, they don't consider it a tool for increasing your exposure and sharing of information. It is seen as a platform for updating resumes, finding job opportunities and connect with people who are familiar to you.

In fact, LinkedIn is a social media platform like Instagram as well as X (formerly Twitter), which should be viewed in similar ways. Only difference is the type of content you share.

In regards to LinkedIn's popularity, Jessica says, "The benefit of LinkedIn is that it allows you to reaching an individuals who are currently engaged in an ongoing process of personal growth and are looking to expand their knowledge. "

Jessica will also share her personal story of her career in journalism throughout the year of 2018, after which she became a recognized Top Voice and also a LinkedIn instructor within five years. Jessica claims she was able to achieve this because of her frequent postings on LinkedIn in addition to connecting to numerous users that could benefit from her experience to help others develop their communications skills.

Create a flexible messaging system that can meet the needs of B2B as well as B2C customers.

Many entrepreneurs think that their work will be noticed when their content is targeted at the consumer. However, this isn't always the case.

The advantage of LinkedIn is that it allows users to change the messages to be in a manner that is unique to B2C and B2B groups. The message itself does not need to be changed, however making changes to the language used to describe your business can enhance the exposure of your organization and enable the company to draw in business customers.

"I recognize that when trying to communicate the information I'm trying to send out to B2C customers, I'll employ terms such as "you," "your," Have you thought of this? ...?'" asks Jessica. "My way of communicating is very simple, and it makes anyone who reads the text feel as if they're receiving a personal message," Jessica says. Jessica.

"[With the B2B audience, instead of talking about 'you' and "your" I'm organizing my talk using phrases like "the team" as well as "the enterprise". This makes it more friendly and less personal]."

HTML1 should is regarded as a idea-leader to help reach B2B clients.

In contrast to customers who are simply looking for a great product, B2B clients will need evidence to show that you're genuine. To attract attention from B2B customers, you'll have to present yourself as a thought-leader or an authority in your issue regardless of whether or not your product is designed to B2C customers.

When it comes to photography, it is possible to create and market the photography training courses for your B2C customers. To get B2B clients, you may create thought-provoking content in the art world or about building a business as an artist. Additionally, if you offers 1-on-1 workshops that teach individuals ways to be more efficient and productive, you can draw in B2B customers by writing blog posts about how increase productivity in the workplace.

This means that you'll be able move towards offering B2C solutions such as e-courses, one-on-one classes, or even offer talks or workshops.

Personal branding that is Visible by using videos

EXAYLi Barclay experienced and professional Visual Content Coach to Start Shoot Expand

Session Description: As the sole proprietor of your firm, it's challenging to not be seen in the eyes of potential customers, especially when you're in a saturated marketplace or in a field that is competitive. One way to get around this problem is to build yourself as a persona using videos that are less than or less than, for instance TikTok videos, Instagram Reels, or longer-form YouTube videos. In this talk, XayLi explains how you can use video to promote your online course, drive profits, and create your name in the minds of your customers.

It's not that hard to begin.

If this is your first video, or are launching the debut live stream do not need the stream to be perfect. It's possible to start with your footage. In the beginning, it's easy to ignore the poor quality video and editing abilities since they understand that with some time, you'll improve in this area.

XayLi herself began using her laptop and a simple white backdrop and LED light bulb, which was made by milling.

"This was my very first time being approached for becoming an expert in this area," she declares. "I did not wait until I was able to create the newsroom in my first lesson to educate people in the community. I used the sources that I had since I was aware of my goal of what I was trying to communicate did not revolve in how gorgeous your setting might look.

This moment, I'm living in a studio that is fully-housed with a complete interconnection. Yet, I'm located exactly in the same place which was the place I began a few years ago. "

Find more resources as you advance

When you begin to gain greater attention for your videos, and you begin making money from them, you could begin building up your collection and upgrade your equipment to video. It is possible to purchase a better quality webcam or camera. There's also a tripod stand (worth around $500-$1,000) and green-screen, along with the eCamm Live and Teleprompter software. It also comes with an Adobe Premiere subscription for editing.

In discussing the upgrading of set and equipment XayLi says, "[At this point] there are several camera angles you can choose from and the number goes upwards. It's important to put money into these things as you'll earn the money. Many of us believe it's essential to look appealing prior to making money. No. You must get your hands in the marketplace and then after this, you'll get money."

If you're able earn enough, you may consider contract editing, recording, and distribution to freelancers or to an internal team.

Focus on something at the same time for a brief period of time

The general belief is that you need to take every step to increase the reach of your company to be visible on every platform, take advantage of every latest trend, and speak on a range of subjects. It's not always the case. It's best to keep your focus only on one thing each when you make your unique picture. This will stop the video from becoming too long and spending too long but will also let viewers know what they can expect from you every time you make a video.

Based on XayLi Barclay's "Rule of Five Fives" Here are five items you must consider in the development of your digital strategy:

  • A single product or service
  • One market is worth pursuing
  • A tool for conversion of leads
  • The primary source of traffic
  • The principal goal of the company

Memberships -- The Good, The Bad The Ugly And The Ugly

Teri Ijeoma the founder of Trade & Travel

Summary of the session: When properly implemented, memberships can be an effective way for businesses to establish stronger connections with their clients, as well as generating extra revenue. Teri Ijeoma has developed her membership program to support Trade & Travel and she now has over 35,000 people taking her classes and over 185,000 on her email list. In this presentation, Teri shares the benefits of a membership system and offers a step-by-step instruction for companies to set up and run memberships using the most efficient method.

HTML0 Find out when is appropriate to make the transition from a membership model that is free to one that charges costs

If your business isn't the most well-known firm, then it's the right time to start your membership program and offer your customers with the most value for money at no cost. Teri began her membership program through the creation of an online Facebook group Facebook that was totally free. If you are deciding to start your own community, it's essential to know the best time to transition from a community that is completely free to a membership plan that's paid.

Below are indicators you should be looking out for prior to starting your turn

  • The company you work for is expanding it's size, however your customers pay just once to use the service you provide, in contrast to the cost of any other benefits that your business gives, e.g. year-long customer support, etc.
  • The members of the group create their own groups or meetings It is more challenging to control the group's administration activities.
  • Moderators in groups serve as coaches to offer consulting to participants of the group. Moderators they aren't able to collect an additional income from the participants in the group.

Your membership program is a product on its own

Many companies who offer online classes also provide members as an additional benefit to their courses. Membership programs can be effective at making the class more attractive. However, it should be considered as a whole product and not as an added-on.

Interview with Teri on the benefits she has gained from Her Trade & Travel membership, Teri states "In the beginning, I thought that it was a continuation of my education. That's not true -- it's a service on its own. It needs its own team together with marketing, promotions strategy and staff... It's better to view as a live-streamed service."

Be aware of the price

If you're transitioning from free membership to a paid-membership model Think about ways to generate income, then choose the appropriate price for the goal. At this point, it's simple to establish your cost lower to draw more customers. If you're certain that the program you decide to buy is the best quality, it is advisable to determine prices which are more expensive than the software.

If, for instance, you're hoping to earn 10,000 dollars per month, it's more beneficial to have 500 clients paying $200 a month rather than having 1000 clients paying $100 monthly. The more expensive your costs are, the lower your chances of clients will be keen to join. So, you'll hit your goals for income sooner and also you'll be capable of managing the system.

The head of the discussion Panel is the Table

Diandra Marizet (Host) Director of Executive, and co-founder with Intersectional Environmentalist

The session's description the panel discussion will include the panelists Cicely, Ellie, Jessica and XayLi sharing their perspectives regarding the importance of inclusiveness and diversity within the world of business. They will also discuss issues women, as well as BIPOC business owners confront as they take part in the marketplace of creators, and how they determine the right worth of their product ethically in a highly competitive market.

Below are a few poignant questions as well as the response to this controversy

Women entrepreneurs who come from backgrounds of color can make money in the very first instance. What are the challenges, the new challenges and opportunities these women have?

Ellie Diop: Just like you've been through the struggles of being poor, you'll experience the exact same trauma associated from wealth. If you're one of the only a few in your family that owns an online store, or the size of a seven-figure business, there's no model to emulate. It's a challenge to get your family members comfortable discussing finances, particularly for people from ethnic groups that earns more than the vast majority of the population throughout their lifetime.

As it happened, I made my million, I was ecstatic and moved out of my mother's home. I wasn't keen to commit to the amount since I was unsure of what should do if that I was forced to give it back the amount. It was also a little nerve-wracking to inform my parents and siblings because I was worried of them thinking differently regarding my character.

Something I'd like find more of are places that allow for collaboration like ones that eliminate the stereotypes and announce "Hey what's going on? If you're anxious about earning the money, or how you'll spend your money on, do not hesitate to share your opinions". It's a reason many people have a great time and then return to where they left off.

In business, of today, there is a need to blend, code-switch be silent or shut certain aspects of our lives off. Many people don't believe of our standing in the realm of professionalism. What lessons have that experience imparted to you about your interactions with your peers? How do you incorporate these in your work as a DEI professional? DEI professional?

Cicely Blain The persona we've been taught, observe exactly the same type of person on TV, and in the media in addition to social media. If some web-based creators are popular, and other creators are removed from the limelight and it's not difficult to think that they must have certain ways of speaking and being.

If you're able establish a setting where you're regarded as real by others around you and your bosses (even even if you don't have similar experiences as you do) it's a great feeling. However, despite increased representation, and the possibilities of being found, there's a double standard in how individuals present themselves. We're prone to think that there's two distinct norms (even even though it's entirely possible this isn't true) which may cause being disengaged.

On TikTok it is common for people to not look professional and dressed well frequently. It's not a bad thing However, I do believe this opportunity is only available to only a few people since they're more likely be judged from other people as well as the way in which they look.

What should you do if you discover your current path is not in line with the direction you're looking to go and that the direction you've always wanted might be to switch into full-time ownership of your business?

Jessica Chen: All of those who reach time reach where you realize that what that you've set for yourself has been achieved and you're now ready to begin a new adventure. In my situation, I was on a wonderful career that I thoroughly enjoyed. But after ten years of working in the same field I realized that there was a lot more to give. My personality has always has a distinct way of doing things. When I started thinking about it, I wondered ways to teach the skills I've acquired.

I started out in the world of journalism. This is a field that could be considered to be to be a "proper" occupation that doesn't permit you to share your opinions, it's not a place to share the thoughts of your mind, instead you're reporting on the experience of people around you. It was a difficult shift for me to discover my own voice, as well as to speak with my own unique voice. This was definitely a process that was a process of learning.

How can you effectively promote your offerings or services in order so you are capable of attracting customers who have the same ideals, who would like to learn more about you and who appreciate the value of the services or products you supply?

XayLi the Barclay Group: Lots often and we establish price ranges that are low that burden people who are investing in the market, which can be detrimental to investors. It's easy to believe that you'll attract many customers when you establish price levels that aren't overly expensive. The reality is that there are people within your locality that aren't in a position to take action.

I hired a coach for my business to figure out the amount I could make and also for determining my price in relation to the volumes. Many creators launch an online course for $7 only to make 6 figures from their courses however they do not have enough customers. If you're just starting out as a creator You must know the goals you're hoping to accomplish as an entrepreneur so that you can determine the price you charge based on what you wish to accomplish.

If I could offer five online courses at 100 dollars per course, that's $5,000instead of offering 500 courses for the price of just $10 for each course. Think about it this way. That's the process I was required to undergo.
