If you're involved in international sales, taxes are an important aspect of the job. For many SaaS businesses, the ability to correctly apply tax exemptions all over the world is essential for accurate pricing and the reporting of when taxes are due.

We're thrilled to announce new improvements in our tax exemptions policy on electronic invoices. We've also modified our tax exemption policy in Japan so that we can be fully compliant with the change to the law which will take effect on the 1st of October, 2023.

Digital Invoicing now allows tax exemptions while creating quotes

This will not only simplify the process for people who need to add tax exemption to the invoice, but also provides an element of clarity about the price to potential customers that receive an estimate. This could cause an increased number of clients you are able to attract.

This update is also adding the requirement for zip codes, or postal codes for both USA and Canada. This change is applicable to quotations made by users in addition to quotes created by the end-customers of customers.
