Can you elaborate on what you do here at ?
As part of the Community Team, we oversee our oversight of the Hero Community and other community driven programmes and tools. Our goal is to connect our customers around the world and help our Heroes to be successful entrepreneurs through community programs and resources.
What's an accomplishment in your career that you are particularly proud of?
What has your culture personal identity affected your experience in tech?
I think that's something that I'm trying to learn more about myself.
Are you a part of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month and , if yes, what is it for you?
Not specifically AAPI Heritage Month, but as a child, I was a part of and took part in Korean celebrations of culture and heritage that included festivals as well as various other events. I think like many others I've learned the importance of these cultural moments and events are in better understanding the concept of belonging and identity.
Could you share the event or someone in AAPI past that was meaningful to you?
The most meaningful would have to be my parents, as well as the many families from the immigrant community who left themselves to seek out higher-quality opportunities elsewhere. It's a bit mind-blowing to consider the types of challenges that the previous generation of AAPI group. Also, I have to say that I will never forget what an adventure Linsanity was...so thank you at Jeremy Lin!
What ways can you take part with the AAPI group?
I usually seek out community in my workplaces in which I am spending the majority of my time. Therefore, in my college years I took part extensively with KSA (the Korean Students Association), and at previous jobs I've taken part in various AAPI specific ERGs.
What are you most excited doing at work ?
The most enjoyable part of the job I work at is definitely the people and the teams which I get to work with. I truly appreciate the welcoming and accepting atmosphere that's been developed, and witnessing the love that's shown in our products and customers is really inspiring to be a part of.
